There have been claims and counter claims over recent years on how the controversial Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, met his death.
French experts have finally ruled out a theory that he had been poisoned by polonium, and are convinced the 75 year old died of natural causes.
Swiss scientists had originally claimed he had died of polonium poisoning at a French military hospital in Nov 2004, after a sudden deterioation in his health. French doctors were unable to make any public comments on the alleged cause of death, because his widow had refused permission for an autopsy. This created a climate of pure speculation out in the international community.
The claims of alleged polonium poisoning suited many people who pointed fingers at Israeli involvement. They will have find other ways of trying to embarress Israel.
